One thing about the Coronavirus that strikes me is the duration of the illness. It sounds like for people on the moderately mild side of the spectrum, 3 weeks is the typical duration of this thing. I’ve also heard that the virus deactivates the bodies ability to have a productive cough and damages the cilia in the lungs so that it can drop lower and lower into the lungs, hence the common symptom of dry hacking cough even though the lungs have fluid in them.
I got inspired to create this warming, relaxing expectorant syrup. I’ve been taking it for a few days before posting it to get to know it and it packs a surprising punch. Elecampane, Loquat and Thyme work wonderfully together. The undertones of Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove and Cardamom add to the depth of the flavor profile as well as the warmth of the syrup. I added Hawthorn for extra cardiovascular support and to soothe the heart in this time of need.
It took me a while to get the supplies together for this syrup and I want to offer it in quantities that can last for the duration of the illness should one get it. . . Hence the 8oz and 16oz bottles. Enjoy you all!
